MLTE CANDIDATE SERVICE POLICY

a. MLTE seeks to ensure that the quality of service to each candidate, award holder, Course Director and Provider is of the highest quality at all times.

b. Registration fees are reviewed on an annual basis.

c. MLTE sets its registration fees for candidates in consultation with the other home nation training Boards to ensure that there is parity between the fees charged by each training Board.

d. MLTE offers a number of support materials for candidates and Award holders. These include books, videos, DVDs, information sheets and pamphlets.

e. MLTE aims, so far as reasonably possible, to register candidates within ten working days of receipt of relevant and appropriately lodged applications.

f. MLTE will endeavour to ensure that all Award scheme courses are run in accordance with the guidance set out in the Award scheme handbooks.

g. MLTE will enter all training records received into the National Training Database within a ten-day period after the report has been received from the Provider. Within a thirty-day period MLTE will send successful candidates their ‘confirmation of Pass’ page.

h. MLTE will ensure that all candidates, Course Director and Provider appeals are dealt with in a fair and open manner as set out in the MLTE Complaints and Appeals Procedure.

7.1 Monitoring of Candidate Service Policy

MLTE will monitor these arrangements:
a. While visiting courses as part of its moderation process.

b. By direct questioning of candidates.

c. With quality control questionnaires sent to some candidates on completion of their training and assessment courses.
